His sire, Jethro Tull G, is a highly successful stallion in North America, having competed up to the 1.50m jumpers and now progressing toward becoming an International Hunter Derby contender. Ringo Starr was tested by the UC Davis Veterinary Genetics Laboratory and was confirmed homozygous black. This means he can only produce black or bay offspring and will only produce grey foals if bred to a grey dam.
